Oregon: July 2009 (First Week)

 In the first week in Oregon we had a chance to just relax a bit, visit the beach (and Brian started preparing Mom & Dad's house for painting).

Even though it was a bit cold and windy, Tristan really enjoyed the 'giant sandbox'.

It wasn't cold in Salem however, as the wading pool was a welcome cooling off spot each day.

We were not sure who was more satisfied as Tristan ate an entire apricot. 

Tristan really liked his outfit from South Africa from Tessa and Aaron.

Recent developments over the past 4 months

Crawling
Sitting in the shopping cart and turning to face forward
Fearless flirting with anyone and everyone (no one is a stranger)
Pulling myself up to standing
Taking steps if someone is holding my hands
Clapping
Bobbing my head anytime there is music
Waving hello and goodbye
Eating 'big people' food by myself
Occasional stubborn tantrums
Jabbering away--all the time

• "deedle-deedle", "dodie-dodie", "da-da-da-da-da",
• "ma-ma-ma-ma-ma", "kkkkkkkkk"

Catching Up

I am just now finishing up my grad school, so here is a quick attempt to make up for everything that this blog has missed for the past four months.

The weekend before Uncle Jon's wedding we went to Grandma & Grandpa Trotter's house in Ohio. It was good to get away for a bit.

Mom & I stayed for six days. Dad went back to work on his grad school work. He missed me a lot!

I was having lots of fun with all of the fun toys like this fun car.

Uncle Jon just married my new Antie Merideth. It was quite a fun weekend.
I spent most of the weekend laughing and laughing. It was hard for people to make it through the rehearsal & photos shoots because I was laughing so much!

A couple of days before Grandma Nussbaum got here, I showed how messy I can be when I eat Blueberries.


Once Grandma got here, we bonded right away.

We had a great time. She taught me lots of stuff like stacking blocks and banging spoons.

That was the week that I really learned to crawl too.


It was really great when both Grandmas were here at the same time!
