Christmas 2009

Santa was good to us this year!
Favorite gifts:
Bus from G&G Trotter
Legos from G&G Nussbaum
Wooden Toolbox from Mom&Dad

More Snow! (December 2009)

So the first snow was just a bit and was quite fun.  The second round of snow was a bit more (over 15 inches!) and it was just frustrating for a little guy.  Luckily we could spend lots of time watching the snowplows work.  They were quite exciting.

Sometimes it was good to just spend some time indoors with Jon & Meredith.

Dad's Graduation (December 2009)

So Dad finished his grad school work back in July, but the ceremony was not until December.  It was a very cold day and mom had to park a very long ways away.

Later was a little get-together with Lynette, Jon & Meredith.

Cabin Fever

We need to get a little bit creative when it is cold and snowy outside and we are cooped up all day.

It helps when we get visits from friends like Lisa.

Hats & Boots

This summer Tristan was not at all interested in wearing shoes.  As Fall approached and it got colder we had to absolutely force the issue if we went outside.  However, by winter hats and boots were our favorites.  Each day brought multiple costume changes throughout the day--even if we were just staying inside.

Our cozy fireplace.

First Snow of 2009

Thanksgiving in Ohio, 2009

As soon as we arrived, we had to get back to the toys that we remembered from the last time we were here.

Especially the car!

We also had a 60th Wedding Anniversary for Grandma & Grandpa Trotter.

Also time with Great Uncle Dave.

First Haircut

Tristan's hair had wonderful curls, but it was getting a little long and his daily 'conditioner' of yogurt, peas, or whatever else he had for lunch was causing it to be quite 'crunchy'.  It was time for a haircut.

A little shorter than we planned, but still looking good.

More Fall 2009

We like going for walks and playing in the leaves.
